It takes a tribe to make our events come to life. Our volunteers take pride in their role and are one of the hardest working, fun-loving, and energetic people we know. They work hard and celebrate harder. Join us for an unforgettable experience!
The Butterfly Effect seeks volunteers to assist with a variety of functions including judging, registrations, customer service, drink stations and marshalling. Roles are available for individuals or for community groups.
The time and resources provided by volunteers in the lead up to and over the event weekend ensures the event is a success each year. The benefits are not entirely for the event, volunteering is a great way to meet a variety of people from all walks of life and you’ll have fun while giving back to the community.

Judging is the backbone of our sport. It demands fairness, consistency, and a sharp eye for detail. As a judge, you’ll uphold movement standards, verify scores and finish times, and ensure every athlete is evaluated with integrity. The standard you set reflects the standard of the event—so if you’re dialed in and ready to lead from the front, we want you on the team.

Are you a people person who thrives in fast-paced environments? This team is all about supporting the athlete journey—from check-in to competition floor. Roles include athlete check-in, corral management, ushering, warm-up area support, score running, and more. You’ll play a vital role in creating a smooth, professional, and positive experience for every competitor.

From hauling gear to resetting the floor between heats, your work ensures the event runs on time and looks sharp.
